THIS FRIDAY DIVE CATALINA WITH RUSTY
This Saturday, April 22nd, is our Club Aquarius meeting. This month we have an incredible guest speaker, Dr. Ola B. Madsen. He will be presenting ideas to help you be a healthier, happier, and more successful diver. You have all seen how many of our divers have transitioned into healthier lifestyles, now you get to hear it from the expert! Remember to bring your best dish and you can win a two day boat, a one day boat, and some cool gear from Atomic, 4th Element, Mares, and SSI.

This Saturday is Rebreather Saturday and Club Aquarius. Starting at 2pm come try a rebreather in the pool and enter your name to win a free rebreather course, including rebreather use, all gasses, and use of the unit for a whole year!! There’s a reason why Club Aquarius is SoCal’s most active dive club……we’re just so much fun!
SSA has brought in a new line of Sun Survival Kits called Reef Safe! 100% safe products for our oceans and rivers.
In March, SSA and Scuba X Travel, went to Tahiti on a 10 day liveaboard adventure on the French Polynesia Master. All we can say is wow!! Just look at some of the pics below.
Congratulations to Tina Allec on getting her 300th dive, Roger Allec for hitting his 600th dive, and to Gil and Vicki Ramirez celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary with us in Tahiti.
The first of many Dive Warriors classes began with 8 new divers. SSA donates all of the facilities, equipment and certified instructors to the Dive Warriors project, and we couldn’t be more proud of our involvement. What are the Dive Warriors, you ask??
Dive Warriors is an organization that is designed to get our wounded U.S. veterans into their scuba course for FREE. Our Scuba Schools of America instructors, some of whom are veterans themselves, donate their time while Scuba Schools International donates the educational materials and certification to the divers. Come be a part of Dive Warriors and get involved, we can always use volunteers!
Wakatobi July 14th to the 24th 2017
Well…since Niki fully booked our Bahamas Adventure in July…Rusty had to put together another trip to get you guys out of the country. Join him in Wakatobi for some amazing Western Pacific diving at it’s very best. Wakatobi is remote but, readily accessible. They meet you on your arrival at Bali’s International Airport and assist you through immigration and baggage reclaim for your VIP processing. After a relaxing overnight stay in Bali, a two-hour flight on our private charter brings you to our purpose-built airstrip, less than a mile from the resort. You leave Bali in the morning and are in the resort in time for lunch and can be diving on pristine coral reefs in the afternoon. For as little as $3800 you can be diving for a week in Indonesia! We just might be able to squeeze you in on this adventure!
Also this month we debut the new SSI Ecology Programs: Shark Ecology, Reef Ecology, Turtle Ecology, and Fish Ecology!
We have also started the Scuba Schools of America Dive Ambassador Program. To be a Dive Ambassador…you need to get involved. Every 2nd Saturday we will have a dive to a place we may not have dived before in Southern California. Come be part of the group and maybe you, too, can be leading an Expedition Dive as a Dive Ambassador! Look for more information on SSA’s Dive Ambassador Program in ongoing emails each month.
Swim Schools of America has new swim instructors coming on board. Along with Sierra, and Sarah, we now have Juliette, and Marissa!! Take the Swim Schools of America Swim Challenge and see where you may need a little work. Are you a minnow swimming with the sharks, or are you a swordfish swimming in a sea of guppies?? No matter where your skill level is the professional swim instructors at SSA can assist you in the water.
