Brian Serl - Scuba Schools of America

Brian is often seen at our dive store and on most of our dive boats and vacations. He is always willing to lend a hand, help out and support the students, classes and programs. He is working on becoming a certified open water instructor as well as getting certified to teach a lot of our specialty courses. He has gone through our advanced programs, rebreather programs, most of our specialty programs and currently taking our instructor program, our Extended Range (XR) and Technical Extended Range (TXR) programs.

  • Favorite dive sites in California: “The Green Buoy” Catalina, the oil rigs off the coast
  • Most memorable dive moment: Killing two Lion Fish on one spear and having two nurse sharks take them and eat them off of the end of the spear immediately after.
  • Favorite underwater critter: Octopus
  • Favorite underwater critter to catch and eat: Lobster
  • International Places dived in: Tahiti, Cozumel, Fiji, Belize and later in 2013 year he is going on our 2 week Truk Lagoon Tech/Wreck/Sport adventure and our Bonaire adventure.
