Focused on practical applications for treating scuba-related illness and injury, React Right fills the gap for the vast numbers of SSI divers working toward their Master Diver certification, as well as keeping our family of Dive Professionals up to speed on the latest techniques and training in the field.

Accidents happen. We can’t always control the situation and sometimes when an accident happens emergency care is required until EMS arrives. Be prepared for these unexpected events with SSI’s REACT RIGHT training program.

Learn some skills that can make a difference for yourself or a dive buddy! Are you a boater, crew, parent, skier, hiker, mountain biker, etc., who would like to be better prepared to respond in an emergency?

If so, the SSI REACT RIGHT Course offered through SSA is for you. This course teaches you the skills that can mean the difference between life and death for a buddy, a friend, or a family member. The program is open to both divers and non-divers and it is one course that can give you an edge even when you’re not diving.

Both CPR and first aid training (Primary and Secondary Care) are combined in this one information and skill-oriented program. You will learn (at a layman’s level), some of the same emergency techniques used by paramedics and doctors. In addition to the basic CPR and Secondary skills taught, you will also be taught O2 administration and how to use an AED. This is a complete emergency response course for the diver and non-diver.

Successful participants will receive REACT RIGHT certification from SSI. Current REACT RIGHT certification, or equivalent, is a prerequisite for those divers wanting to enter both the Stress and Rescue Diver and Dive Guide, Divemaster, or Dive Control Specialist programs. The course includes approximately 8 hours of instruction (may be held on weeknights or weekends)
