Prism 2 Rebreather
The Hollis Prism 2 Closed Circuit rebreather has been a favorite at SSA for years. Check out the features of this rebreather:
Dual, front-mounted counterlungs guarantee the lowest hydrostatic loading by providing a flexible reservoir for the diver which is equal to the diver’s lung volume’s maximum displacement. This kind of rebreather includes manual and automatic gas addition systems. There is also a variable volume control valve, which is used during ascent to discharge extra gas volume or to sweep the loop. It automatically adds diluent when the hydrostatic pressure increases.
BACK-MOUNTED COUNTERLUNGS
Backmounted Counterlung positions lungs behind the diver leaving the chest free for attachment of additional tanks and accessories. This also allows improved streamlining with less drag and better horizontal trim.
Features a 2 piece bag design for improved WOB performance and easy removal of the internal lung for cleaning or replacement. ADV Upstream Valve design is reliable and resistant to free flow which is a benefit for the addition of valuable diluent gas. All gas delivery systems on the Prism 2 have both automatic and manual functions. Easy draining is achieved by Water Trapping T-pieces. It is done by not allowing the excess water of the loop to leave the counter lung. Hose Fittings are streamlined and they keep LP hoses as close as possible to the diver to prevent any overhead interference. A sturdy and reliable design is guaranteed by Machined DIL and O2 MAV controls. This system provides the possibility for offboard gas plugin on either side as well.
REAR MOUNTED RADIAL SCRUBBER
The Prism 2 utilizes a user packed, radial 5.5lb CO2 scrubber, which features the best possible duration, insulation, and work of breathing on the rebreather. Between the oxygen cylinder and the diluent cylinder on the backplate, there is enough space for the scrubber canister to be mounted in a vertical position. Engineered Thermoplastic is what the clear scrubber bucket is made of. This design is exclusive to Hollis and is equipped with a visual for positive loop integrity. It also guarantees that the CO2 scrubber is installed and packed.
ELECTRONICS
The system uses the Shearwater Petral computer, designed specifically for the unit. Also, it is equipped with a Heads Up Display.

KISS Spirit LTE
This is the lightest CCR on the Market!
What can we say about the KISS Spirit LTE? Rusty still dives into the original prototype designed back in 2015! His unit has traveled the world and it is a tank, yet only weighs 40 lbs.
A light back-mount fully-closed rebreather, the KISS Spirit is suitable for all divers. Its lower weight makes it perfect for those divers who travel around, especially in temperate and moderate climates. It can be dived up to 90 meters deep. The left bailout bottle is used as the diluent bottle, and this has led to a simpler and lighter design. The design for CO2 gas scrubbing is also economical in space. The KISS Spirit rebreather comes in different configurations and that is why any diver can find it suitable. We can even put a custom-made SSA buoyancy control system on it with your choice of colors and designs. The system does come with its own DiveRight bc.
If you want to travel with a lightweight unit…this is the Closed Circuit Rebreather you want to have!
The KISS Spirit is a compact, versatile, and capable rebreather for divers of all levels. Its lightweight configuration is especially suitable for the traveling rebreather diver. Those familiar with the basic layout of most rebreathers will immediately notice the absence of the usual twin-oxygen / diluent cylinder configuration flanking a centrally mounted scrubber. Instead, the Spirit features a single onboard oxygen cylinder, mounted at the base of the unit. Diluent for the Spirit is provided by an off-board cylinder that can be mounted under either the left or right arm—the same way most CCR divers carry their bailout cylinder. Diluent gas is supplied to the Spirit via a high-flow hose with a quick-disconnect fitting.
The KISS Spirit is highly customizable to suit a wide variety of divers. Available options, pricing, and explanations are available on the list to the right. Click on each explainer link for a detailed description and rendering of what each option is and why you may or may not want it.
There is no need to assemble the Spirit, it is fully assembled. The size of this rebreather is 23 inches at its tallest, and 13.5 inches at its widest. The harness and wing are attached and it rests no more than six inches off your back. You can hardly find any other back-mount CCRs with this size.
The most innovative feature of the Spirit is that it employs a bi-axial scrubber system in place of the usual single-axial or radial scrubber common to most rebreather models. The parallel scrubbers are centered over the diver’s shoulder blades. This configuration also allows the counter lungs to be routed around the diver’s lower rib cage instead of over the shoulders or back mounted, creating a low profile with extremely easy work of breathing (WOB). The capacity between the two canisters is approximately 6.2 lbs. with Molecular 797 Grade 812 mesh Sofnolime, which it was tested with.
KISS CLASSIC CCR
The KISS Classic CCR is for the diver that wants to go a little deep and a little longer. Training is the exact same for both units.
The KISS Classic closed-circuit rebreather has been known for its durability, reliability, and easy maintenance since its first model in 1999. It is also famous as an expedition-grade rebreather because it can be used safely in extreme situations, such as deep caves and remote locations.

Mares Horizon SCR
EZ Peasy Semi-Closed Circuit Rebreather
Extended dive time • Lightweight • As easy as nitrox diving • Creates a natural diving position • Fail-safe gas operation • Easy to assemble and prepare •Ready for advanced divers • Intuitive interface • approved for nitrox mixes from 30% – 99% O2 (Maximum depth: 40m)
EXTENDED DIVE TIME The Horizon offers incredibly extended dive time compared to open circuit dives, giving the diver ample time to take in the wonderful underwater environment. • Dive times are an average of 3-8 times longer • Standard nitrox gas cylinders that are available at the dive destination can be used • Additional cylinder rigging optional
The lightweight system is the ideal travel companion and does not require dedicated cylinders or weights. The unit’s simple logistics allow the diver to use standard nitrox cylinders that are easily obtained from most dive destinations. • Complete unit weighs only 12kg for easy transportation • Comes with 1 bottom gas regulator set weighing 1.4kg • Optional decompression gas regulator weighing 1.4kg is also available • Combined, the Horizon unit, and regulators should fit in a single suitcase, weighing less than 23kg in total – the standard checked baggage allowance for most airlines
This is just like diving on SCUBA, just the gas is warm and wet, and the 40 ft tank will last up to 3 hours! AS EASY AS NITROX DIVING The Horizon SCR training builds on a foundation of open-circuit and nitrox diving knowledge, and the Horizon SCR controller intuitively maintains an ideal nitrox mix, depending on diver preferences. Fewer bubbles allow wildlife enthusiasts to experience close encounters like never before. • The gas mix can be changed during the dive (using the controller) to extend dive time or decrease decompression time • The controller will warn the diver if an inappropriate gas mix exists
