Product Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

We want you to be confident in every purchase you make with Scuba Schools of America. If you’re not completely satisfied, most unused products may be returned for a refund or exchange within 10 days of purchase, provided they are in new, unopened condition with original packaging and accompanied by our return form.

Non-Returnable Items

Please note that the following items are non-returnable:

  • Perishable or consumable goods (e.g., absorbent materials, oxygen cells, air/enriched air/tri-mix)
  • Gift cards
  • Used or worn items
  • Sale, clearance, or discontinued products
  • Custom/special orders
  • Prescription or custom-lens masks

To begin the return process, please contact our team for a return form. We’ll send a downloadable link or PDF to complete and include in your shipment. When requesting the form, include your order number.

All returns must be shipped back to our address below. Please do not return products directly to the manufacturer, even if your item was shipped from them.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, you’ll be notified via email or phone regarding approval or rejection.
Approved refunds will be processed within 48 hours and credited to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take 1–5 business days to appear on your statement.

A 5% restocking fee and initial shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. This fee covers non-refundable payment processing charges. To avoid this fee, you may opt for store credit instead; please indicate your preference on the return form.

If a returned item doesn’t meet our stated conditions, we can ship it back to you at your expense.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet, please:

  1. Check your bank or credit card account again.
  2. Contact your credit card company (it may take a few days to post).
  3. Contact your bank to confirm processing timelines.

If you’ve completed these steps and still haven’t received your refund, email us at info@scubaschoolsofamerica.com with your order number.

Exchanges

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with exchanges, including sending the original item back and shipping costs for the replacement. Once we process your exchange, we’ll contact you with an updated shipping invoice.

Gifts

If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a store credit for the value of your return. Once your return is processed, a digital gift certificate will be emailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, or was shipped to the original purchaser, we’ll issue a refund to the original payment method.

Refunds of Training & Certification Fees

Training and certification fees are generally non-refundable once enrollment has been confirmed. However, we understand that life happens. Scuba Schools of America may consider partial or full refunds in extenuating circumstances, solely at our discretion.

If you need to reschedule a class, please contact us in advance so we can accommodate you in the next available session.

  • No-shows or last-minute cancellations (within 48 hours of the class start) are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

Refunds for Dive Trips & Travel

  • Local Trips:
    Refunds requested 30 days or more before departure are eligible for a full refund minus a 5% processing fee.
    Requests made 15–30 days prior may be eligible for a credit transfer to a future trip.
    No refunds are available within 14 days of the trip date.
  • Extended or International Trips:
    Deposits are refundable (minus a 5% processing fee) if canceled 90 days prior to the trip unless otherwise stated.
    Once final payment has been made, no refunds will be issued. However, at our discretion, we may issue a store or travel credit in cases of documented emergencies.

Scuba Schools of America reserves the right to modify trip itineraries or cancel trips due to unforeseen circumstances. If we cancel a trip, you’ll receive a 100% credit applicable toward a future trip or training program.
