Club Aquarius is the nation’s most active dive club California has to offer. Hosted by Scuba Schools of America, our members gather every six weeks for scuba social events that mix gear demos, travel talks, and potluck meals—think Thanksgiving with regulators. Meetings start at 6 p.m. and are open to everyone; membership simply unlocks bigger perks and prizes.

FAQ - Dive Club California & Club Aquarius

Do I need to be certified to attend a meeting?

No. Anyone curious about diving or travel is welcome. Certification is only required for on-water activities.

Can I come to a meeting before paying dues?

Yes. Guests may attend one meeting free. After that, please join to keep enjoying the perks.

How often does the dive club meet?

Every six weeks at 6 p.m. Meetings are announced via email and on our store bulletin board. Sign up for the newsletter here.

What should I bring to the potluck?

A shareable dish—entrées, sides, or desserts are all welcome. If you enjoy wine, feel free to bring a bottle to pour.

Are the raffle prizes really dive trips?

Absolutely. A two-day or one-day Pacific Star charter is raffled each meeting, along with gear swag from our supporting manufacturers.

What’s the Dive Veterans Dinner?

Held the first Saturday of December, this annual event combines dinner, a food drive, and a silent auction to raise funds for veteran dive programs.
